How did Hamilton Nolan keep his job when they shut down Gawker? I’ve never seen another person whose work screams “layoff notice” more than this guy. He needs to be forced to do actual work, the fucking moron.
Rant over.

You know, I actually had the same thought today and clicked to see everything that he’s written over the past few weeks. Maybe he’s part time now?

Because people click on his stories; that’s it.
Also, being a Dude-Bro, he’s a much better fit for Deadspin. Especially now that Deadspin is expanding further into the Angry White Men market with their new food show.

But you know who is gone?
Alissa Walker.

I’m surprised Jordan Sargent is still around... you’d think he’d be a toxic “asset”.

They unionized, and made a shit fit that the Gawker writers would get redistributed amongst the remaining sights.
His narrow scope makes him a bad fit anywhere. He should really go be a missionary.....and tell know one about it.

Maybe the award I gave her helped.

I never visited the main Gawker site much, but part of me wishes it was back just to cut down on cross-contamination.
Case in point: I follow Jalopnik, Gizmodo, and Lifehacker, so their posts all show up on my Kinja dashboard. The latest post to show up on my feed was this article about a baseball pitcher with a bloody finger. It was shared from Deadspin to one of the blogs I follow; care to guess (without looking) which one? The cars and transportation blog, the technology & design blog, or the DIY/self-improvement blog?

I’ve read a few articles of his that I like? I think? But mostly he’s abrasive and obnoxious.
